The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development is a state agency established to promote workforce development and improve workplace safety and health throughout the state.

How you make a difference in this role:

The role manages local program service delivery through regional and local liaisons

Job Overview:

• Provide an advanced understanding of the grants analysis process and hold a key role in reviewing grant applications for TN Department of Labor and
• Workforce Development through the Jobs4TN database, and other grant management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviews and analyzes grant proposal documents to ensure compliance with guidelines and standards.
• Reviews grant documentation to ensure compliance with grant conditions, federal and state regulations and standards.
• Develops and monitors reports of sub grantees to ensure fiscal integrity and expenditure trends;
• Works with Regional Employment Specialists, Local Navigators, and grant recipients to assist with fully understanding the provisions of the grants and parameters pertaining to the proper submission of proposals.
• Ensuring that those receiving grants are given full information on specifics of requirements so that the potential for the proper execution of grants and contracts is enhanced while providing technical assistance as needed
• Maintains strong communication with applicants, grant recipients, the federal government and other entities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:

Experience managing local, federal, state grants or contracts, and Considerable oral, written communication and organizational skills.
