We have an exciting opportunity for a Postsecondary Education Lead at UL Research Institutes. This is a remote position.

The Postsecondary Education Lead designs, implements, and oversees comprehensive educational programs. The Postsecondary Education Lead develops and enhances the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of students, educators, partners, and relevant stakeholders. The Postsecondary Education Lead will work closely with researchers, partners and relevant stakeholders to identify educational needs, create appropriate learning solutions, and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

OREE:

The Office of Research Experiences and Education (OREE) cultivates the next generation of safety scientists through a mix of unique educational programs, academic partnerships, and research and standards development experiences.

We translate the findings of our research institutes into compelling educational materials, bringing to life scientific concepts using contemporary best education practices to create learning opportunities for a wide variety of secondary through postgraduate students. Our academic collaborations and support for the next generation of safety scientists likewise reach across the educational spectrum, including partnerships that reach out to students who are underrepresented in STEM fields.

Through all of our programs, we aim to unlock the diverse perspectives that are essential for solving the world's most pressing safety and sustainability issues.

What you'll learn and achieve:

As the Postsecondary Education Lead, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you:

• Collaborate with Research Institutes and Standards & Engagement to assess educational needs and develop comprehensive educational programs aligned with organizational goals.

• Design and curate educational materials, resources, and content to address specific learning objectives and cater to diverse learning styles.

• Leverage various instructional methodologies, to deliver effective learning experiences.

• Conduct educational sessions and workshops for students, faculty, partners, or other relevant audiences, ensuring engaging and interactive learning experiences.

• Utilize educational technology and tools to enhance the educational delivery process and track learner progress and performance.

• Oversee the Standards Academy educational platform to and materials.

• Lead program evaluation of educational programs.

• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new methodologies to ensure the educational content remains relevant and up-to-date and collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop specialized educational content.

• Prepare regular reports on educational outcomes and share insights with key stakeholders to inform decision-making and improvements.

• Lead a team of education and training specialists and coordinators, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to foster a high-performing educational function.

• Contribute to and/or lead other department specific and cross-functional initiatives.

Professional education and experience requirements for the role include:

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing educational programs in an academic setting.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in postsecondary engineering and/or science educational setting preferred.

• Experience developing e-learning platforms is strongly preferred.
