Maintenance Assistant Manager

JOB FUNCTION:

The Maintenance Assistant Manager is a member of the management team, assisting in overseeing maintenance operations. As a Maintenance Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all maintenance staff, while maintaining and developing a safe, goal- oriented department. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and continue to develop a high level of maintenance procedures to alleviate unplanned shutdowns.
• Working with automation team on repairs and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Oversee and coordinate the activities of all maintenance personnel on all shifts.
• Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in planning and scheduling maintenance activities.
• Train and educate maintenance technicians on new equipment and techniques.
• Maintain inventory and order parts utilizing the procurement system (Proactis) as needed.
• Ensure tasks and projects are getting properly recorded into CMMS.
• Utilize and analyze data from the CMMS system to further develop and maintain positive maintenance practices.
• Bring any questions or concerns of crew members to the Maintenance Manager.
• Assist in maintaining a safe work environment, communicate and escalate as needed.
• Fill in for Maintenance Manager when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Some supervision experience preferred
