Material Planning Intern

Vanderlande is looking for a motivated college student to join our Supply Chain team as a Material Planning Intern.

Responsibilities:

1. Act as the key liaison to resolve supply issues and ensure the efficient delivery of material, service, and cost objectives.

2. Find solutions for out-of-stock situations or shortage of supply issues by working with vendors and internally with other departments, providing recommended mitigation opportunities.

3. Manage delivery performance and root cause reasons for delays using weak point management.

4. Review Distribution Center workload based on project planning and supply availability, while using the findings to develop action plan to support project delivery.

Qualifications:

1. Junior or Senior pursuing Supply Chain or Business degree.

2. Demonstrated usage of analytical tools and a familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Smartsheet, Hubble, MS PowerBI, etc.)

3. Ability to problem solve with creative solutions.

4. Strong communication skills with ability to influence and build consensus.
