As the Process Excellence Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing process improvement initiatives across Comfort Medical. In this role, you will establish and maintain a structured approach to process governance, and work with business leaders to proactively identify opportunities for improvement, implement process changes, track and report on results. The Process Excellence Manager will support several business functions including, but not limited to, Intake and Reorders, Insurance Verification, Prior Authorizations, Order Validation, Billing, Returns, Collections, and Posting.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading process improvement initiatives, be well-versed in process improvement tools and methodologies, and have excellent project management skills. This individual will be a strategic thinker who can see the big picture while paying attention to the details needed to implement change effectively.

This is a hybrid position based in Minneapolis.




Major Areas of Accountability




  • Serve as a change agent to drive process improvements across the organization
  • Manage, coach, and develop members of the Process Excellence team
  • Train and coach team members on process improvement tools and techniques
  • Work with business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions
  • Conduct process audits and analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions
  • Work closely with Training and the Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure that relevant process changes are refelcted within QA rubrics and training materials
  • Develop and coordinate a broad continuous improvement roadmap, including project plans, deliverable management, proactive stakeholder communications, and a set governance cadence
  • Measure the outcomes and outputs of projects and process improvement endeavors and leverage quantitative analysis to inform direction of the business of results
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of process improvement methodologies and best practices
  • Identify and drive implementation of technology solutions to support process improvement efforts
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure cross-functional alignment and secure optimal solutions
  • Communicate process changes to stakeholders and ensure buy-in
  • Lead large scale efforts focused on business improvement initiatives, process changes and projects
  • Resolves complex operational, organizational, and technical problems through research and problem solving to determine root cause and lead process improvements
  • Document business requirements with accuracy resulting in a clear understanding of the problems solved through successful delivery
  • Accountable for managing the full project lifecycle for process improvement projects from planning, development, launch, monitoring, debrief facilitation to close out
  • Encourages and fosters environment of teamwork, communication, collaboration, and readiness for change
  • Assure all processes and SOPs areare in compliance with our HIPAA privacy standards, all state and local laws, our Accrediting agency, OSHA, Medicare/Medicaid, Third-Party and private payor guidelines.
  • Promotes adherence to all corporate policies, practices and compliance programs. Look for ways to improve the department and streamline processes.

Essential Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years' experience in healthcare revenue cycle management in the DME industry
  • 5+ years' experience in process improvement/excellence roles, with 3+ years in a management role
  • Knowledge of Medicare and regulatory billing codes, specifically of diagnostic and procedural terminology, ICD and CPT/HCPCS coding systems and compliance rules
  • Proven track record of leading successful process improvement initiatives and change management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment under tight deadlines
  • Continuous improvement (CI) experience along with change management experience in Healthcare sector
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills required along with strong written and verbal communication
  • Willingness and ability to travel, including overnight - up to 20%

  • Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $93,023 - $139,535. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or incentives.
