Position location: Platte City, Missouri

Shift info: 1st shift, Monday - Friday

This parts position is focused on our Generator Manufacturing Division.Responsible for supporting the overall production process as it relates to parts. Will develop schedule and release orders per schedule review process defined by the Engineering and Production group. Will monitor the status of planned and released orders through shipment and invoice payment and expedites/resolves issues that delay schedules. Will ensure that adequate parts supply is maintained to expedite the efficient processing of the product builds.

Job Duties



  • Work closely with vendors and technicians to provide parts in a timely manner.
  • Restocking production line.
  • Organize, receive and ship parts.
  • Research websites and vendor databases for parts pricing
  • Converts requirements to orders of conventional sizes and quantities.
  • Schedules deliveries based on production forecasts.
  • Estimates need to reorder supplies due to rejections and engineering changes during manufacturing cycle.
  • Effective planning, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Retrieve and input information within our Material Resource Planning system
  • Monitor all orders to assure timely completion to promise date and escalate/resolve issues that may prevent timely delivery of orders.


  • Work with Production, Engineering, and Parts Manager for any issues related to priorities, holds, throughput or capacity issues, part shortages, or engineering changes on released orders.
  • Perform cycle counts, prepare, and perform weekly OEM shipments.
  • Identify parts and materials with our engineering software.
  • Assist other team members, as needed, to ensure customer needs are met

Qualifications

Position Qualifications



  • An associate's degree or equivalent experience in parts operations and parts sales preferred.

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.

  • Good computer and systems knowledge.



Specific skill requisites



  • Must have excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Solid inventory management knowledge.
  • Product knowledge including features and benefits knowledge of all commodities sold.
  • A solid understanding of pricing principles and discounting effects.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse storage systems and storage layout principles.
  • Valid Drivers License
