Job Summary:

The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for maintaining the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems by applying software engineering practices to operations. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that ensure our services are robust, resilient, and able to scale effectively. This role fosters a culture of reliability and continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, and maintains systems and services that are reliable, scalable, and perform optimally in production environments.

  • Develops and maintains IaC pipelines to provision infrastructure in a consistent and repeatable manner.

  • Participates in multi-disciplinary teams working in a fast-paced agile environment.

  • Sets up and maintains monitoring tools and dashboards to ensure system health and performance.

  • Performs capacity planning and scaling activities to ensure systems can handle current and future load requirements. Implements strategies for optimizing resource utilization and minimizing costs.

  • Proactively identifies and resolved issues before they impact customers.

  • Engaged development, operations, and security teams to ensure that new features are designed with security, reliability, and scalability in mind.

  • Leads incident response efforts, performs root cause analysis, and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Provides on call support outside of normal work hours/days as needed.

  • Other job related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related field, equivalent education, or practical experience.

  • 3+ years hands-on experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar role.

  • Experience with the Microsoft cloud platform.

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language.

  • Expertise in monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.

  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
