JOB SUMMARY

As a Marketing Promotions Manager, you will design, develop and execute innovative promotional strategies for all POOLCORP in-house product brands, as well as industry VIP vendor co-op programs.

Working closely with the Sr. Manager of Planning & Events, Product Sourcing team, Product Management teams and the Operations teams, you will strategically execute innovative, exciting, experience-driven solutions, based on business analytics, product seasonality and competitive landscape, that achieve goals & objectives, and improve profitability & industry market share.

Daily, you will drive executing a detailed marketing calendar for B2B, and B2C2B channels, including project management and collaborating with creative, channel marketing, and internal & external communications teams to execute a go-to-market strategy for all evergreen and seasonal promotions across advertising zones. You will partner closely with the Marketing Team, and other Corporate Functional Teams to ensure initiatives are implemented properly by tracking tasks, managing communication, and coordinating field implementation. The ability to communicate and work cross-functionally with a variety of teams, both internal and external, is paramount to the success of this role.

LOCATION: Position based in Clearwater, FL

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and implements detailed promotional calendar to drive sales and improve industry market share for our products and services, new product introductions and vendor co-op programs.

  • Works closely with product sourcing, product management, sales, operations, and marketing teams to develop compelling and effective promotions that align with business analytics and objectives.

  • Manages the entire promotional lifecycle, from planning and ideation to execution and analysis, ensuring all promotions are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Analyzes promotional results and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

  • Stays up to date with industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to inform promotional strategy and tactics.

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with external VIP vendors, and agencies to support promotional initiatives.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure promotions are integrated with other marketing campaigns and initiatives.

  • Develops and manages the promotional budget, tracking expenses and ensuring the effective use of resources.

  • Provides leadership and mentorship to junior members of the marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.

  • Travel will be required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing promotions, preferably in a consumer goods or retail environment.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful promotional campaigns that drive sales & awareness.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Knowledge of marketing automation tools and platforms is a plus.

  • A positive, can-do attitude with a deep desire to constantly be looking to improve, better and grow the team.
