TYLin is seeking a dynamic Principal Bridge Engineer to join our Sacramento, CA team. In this key role, you'll oversee groundbreaking projects, inspire and mentor a talented team, and shape the future of transportation infrastructure. Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as a Senior Project Manager and client interface on major infrastructure projects, including bridges, tunnels, and transportation structures.

  • Supervise, guide, and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

  • Lead task execution, ensuring adherence to codes, standards, and quality assurance procedures.

  • Manage all aspects of design, including planning, scheduling, production of plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to state and local agencies, as well as design/build contractors.

  • Contribute to growth by participating in business development activities, preparing proposals, and pursuing new opportunities.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's in Structural Engineering preferred).

  • 15+ years of design and construction experience, with expertise in transportation structures.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

  • Ability to inspire and manage cross-disciplinary teams while delivering exceptional project outcomes.

  • Advanced knowledge of bridge and transportation structure design, analysis software, and project execution.

  • Skilled in building strong client relationships and delivering tailored solutions.

  • Dedicated to implementing rigorous quality control processes and ensuring top-tier results.

  • Proven Project Management experience, with a strong track record of managing design projects and teams.

  • Strong knowledge of regional, state, and federal transportation agency procedures.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges.

  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$192,000- $296,400 annually for this position and local market.We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.TYLin is proud to offer exciting career development opportunities.
