Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and result-driven Systems and Storage Administrator to provide white glove, world class service to Zones clients. You will be part of a team of professionals who provide day-to-day comprehensive technical support to administrators and users from initial challenge through complete resolution. Knowledge of network administration and architecture is a plus.
What you'll do as a Systems and Storage Administrator:
  • Designing, building as well as day-to-day operations of customer's VMware vSphere infrastructure
  • Manage Active Directory; design, test and deploy group policies
  • Manage Office365 in hybrid deployment
  • Deploy, configure and manage Windows and Linux servers
  • Troubleshoot VMware Horizon issues
  • Build Windows desktop images for VDI
  • Work with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, OCI)
  • Respond to incidents, perform change requests and drive problem management in accordance to ITIL Standards
  • Work with different storage appliances (e.g. Dell EMC, Pure, HPE) and storage protocols
  • Familiarity with security devices (Firewalls/IPS/VPN)
  • Configure and install software and manage switches and routers
  • Resolve issues that Level 1 resources have not been able to address
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
  • Mentor more junior team members on technical issues
  • Communicate with users when needed
  • Maintain complete technical documentation to include drawings, technical processes and instruction
  • Suggest improvements to systems performance, capacity and scalability
What you will bring to the team:
  • Industry-related experience 3-5 years as a Systems and/or Network Administrator
  • Strong knowledge and experience in server and desktop virtualization in on-premises and cloud environments
  • Experience in supporting Active Directory, DNS environments, DHCP
  • Professional certification (e.g. VCP, CCNA)
  • Strong working knowledge of Network Management Systems and Platforms (Manage Engine, Site24x7)
  • Solid background in systems administration and architecture
  • Scripting skills (e.g Powershell, Python, Perl)
  • Solid understanding of different operating systems
  • Sharp troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently, excellent communication and PM skills
  • Organizational and mentoring skills
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms and technologies such as Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Hybrid cloud are essential
