JOB TYPE Classification: Nonexempt Supervises Positions: No JOB SUMMARY JOB SUMMARY: The Laboratory Associate II performs moderate and high complexity testing under the general supervision of the Laboratory Manager. This position performs routine patient testing, quality control testing, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, critical value notification, proactively identifies sample integrity issues, and supports overall quality laboratory testing. Laboratory Associate II Duties: Performs duties above and beyond Laboratory Associate I.

The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Master's or Doctorate Degree from an accredited University in Chemistry, Physics, or Biology related sciences required. Must include: Six semester hours of chemistry, six semester hours of biology, and 12 semester hours of any combination of chemical or biological sciences. Experience: This position is open to new graduates. Or 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University in Chemistry, Physics, or Biology related sciences required. Must include: Six semester hours of chemistry, six semester hours of biology, and 12 semester hours of any combination of chemical or biological sciences. Experience: 1 year relevant laboratory experience. Experience: 1 year of laboratory testing experience Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details. Frequent repetitive body movements. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
