Smith College'sExecutive Educationprogram is seeking aProgram Manager, who is passionate about empowering women to lead, while building impactful programming. With 45 years of experience, we provide leadership development for women at every career stage-emerging, mid-level, and senior global executives.

In this role, you'll:

  • Manage Programs: Lead logistics and execution for both in-person and online leadership programs.

  • Build Relationships: Serve as the main point of contact for executive leadership programs and develop strong client relationships.

  • Drive Program Success: Evaluate program effectiveness and suggest improvements for future sessions

Job Summary

Manages all facets of online and in-person programming. Strategize and implement high-level programs ensuring a positive customer experience. Additionally, Program Manager optimizes relationships, costs, and resources while nurturing each program from inception through to completion. Evaluates program success, makes recommendations for continuous improvement.

Essential Functions

Program Management (45%)

  • Identify and work with subject-matter experts to develop professional development programs and content for in-person and live online

  • Lead the planning, negotiation and execution of logistics for venues, lodging, and catering for in-person core programs and events on and off campus

  • Support online programs including project planning, scheduling, marketing, customer service, participant communications, registration, enrollment, reporting and post-program engagement

  • Work with online team to manage survey processes, interpret, share feedback and make recommendations to enhance the quality of programming; makes recommendations for process improvement

  • Stay current with executive education industry trends; share market and competitive insights with Director to inform strategic programming decisions

Stakeholder Relations (30%)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership programs

  • Manage internal/external relationships to drive program enrollment

  • Establish and nurture learning & development executive-level relationships, decision-makers and key contacts with existing and potential new clients

  • Ensure clear and consistent communication of process, progress, deadlines, and decisions to all partners

Business Development (15%)

  • Contribute to the identification of new business opportunities

  • Seek out new clients through prospecting & networking at different events

  • Support the development and execution of marketing initiatives including timelines, materials (web content, email campaigns, etc.), proofing and analytics

  • Administer online events (webinars, etc.) to promote community engagement

Administrative (10%)

  • Manage budget for department; monitor finances related to client billing & expenses

  • Manage logistics and book travel for conferences and off-campus events

  • Perform other relevant job duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses)

Bachelor's degree and at least 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a business or higher education context or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Proficiency with Google G Suite, Zoom, and Microsoft Office. Executive-level verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in an environment with constantly changing client needs. Learning mindset. Experience working with diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

Business and sales experience. Executive presence. Ability to become proficient in new technical platforms quickly.

Skills

Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects from inception to execution of high-level programming. Exceptional communication skills with excellent judgment, executive presence, problem-solving and project management skills. Experience working with CRM, databases, online learning platforms, Google Analytics. Ability to analyze information and translate into succinct presentations to connect with respective multi-level stakeholder audiences is required. Strong work ethic, curiosity, and a passion for advancing women in business.

Additional Information

Ability to travel 10% and work periodic weekends and nights as programming requires.
