Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Agilist - Scrum Master with 9 to 11 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile Methodologies Scrum and Cloud Basics with a focus on driving successful project outcomes. This role will involve working closely with multi-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that align with our business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the adoption of Agile tools and techniques to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
- Provide guidance and support to Agile teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews to ensure effective communication and progress tracking.
- Collaborate with customers to define and prioritize product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of Agile initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Coach team members on Agile principles and practices, promoting an attitude of adaptability and innovation.
- Ability to think and make decisions calmly and quickly as new information becomes available Exceptional organizational abilities. Identify and address impediments that may hinder team progress, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Agile methodologies to continuously improve practices and outcomes.
- Engage with senior leadership to communicate the benefits and progress of Agile initiatives, securing agreement and support.
Qualifications
- Adhere to and improve upon Agile principles, processes, and metrics Scrum Master for one or more squads, including all SM duties, metrics review, and agile principles Assist in prioritization/phasing of project/program deliverables Work Experience / Knowledge
- At least 4 years SM experience using Agile Scrum and Kanban Project Management experience recommended and Cloud FinOps experience/knowledge highly recommended Atlassian Suite of tools or equivalent Broad based IT Infrastructure knowledge and experience in at least one technical domain recommended (AWS IaaS/PaaS, Networking, Server/Storage, Databases, Citrix Hosting, etc.)
- Team first servant leader attitude in service of team and customer engagement, consensus building, and conflict resolution Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required Adept at customer engagement and conflict resolution
- Competent with a broad range of project management methods including Waterfall, Agile, Lean, etc.
- Collaborative and solutions oriented Proactive with the ability to anticipate challenges and roadblocks before they occur and propose resolutions Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Emotionally intelligent with ability to lead and influence without direct reporting lines
- Both strong analytic and creative problem solver
- Domain knowledge & experience in working in Investment banking.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $72,444 - $142,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
