The Staff Associate I will be responsible for developing new epigenome manipulation tools. In particular, he/she will help develop and validate the molecular tools developed in the mammalian cell culture system and communicate the result with PI and lab members.

Functional Knowledge: Molecular Cloning. Epigenetic regulation. (5%)

Problem Solving: Sanger sequencing result analysis using Snapgene. Statistical analysis using Excel. (10%)

Decision Making/Autonomy: Follow protocol to conduct molecular and cellular experiments. (10%)

Technical Expertise: Pipetting. Operate centrifugation. (50%)

Communication: Shares information and confirmation of data. (25%)

The Staff Associate I will be expected to carry out experiments and procedures that will involve completing independent work. The position will require considerable individual initiative in executing the work. He/she/they will be expected to order reagents as needed, create protocols, and devise conditions for the experiments that are not yet established or known.

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences

Skills/Knowledge Required:

Previous experience on CRISPR is required

Years of Experience Required:

1 year
