Position Overview

Riverside Research is seeking a full-time early career Modeling and Simulation Engineer to be part of team focused on evaluating new algorithms and analyst facing tools for accuracy, performance, and operational readiness using a diverse set of state-of-the-art modeling tools. This position is in support of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.



Responsibilities

    Evaluate the results of new algorithms and tools using quantifiable performance metrics; identify strengths and weaknesses
  • Help determine if results are realistic with respect to expected system performance; document any outliers and capture desirable tool enhancements
  • Access tools against current analytical operational workflows; compare capabilities, performance, and results
  • Provide on-site, technical, and in-person support to NASIC analysts.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable technical degree; 1+ years of experience in modeling and simulation
  • C++, MATLAB, or similar programming language
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Experience composing documentation, reports, and briefings
  • Ability to manage time independently without direct supervision

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable technical degree; 1+ years of experience in modeling and simulation
  • Previous experience with mission level modeling and simulation

$74,000 - $110,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
