About the Role:

The Sr. Identity Management Engineer role will focus on managing and advancing our Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform, Sailpoint IdentityNow, the role will be part of the Cyber Security team and be responsible for maintaining and designing robust and efficient identity solutions. This position will operate within a highly regulated life sciences environment, playing a critical role in maintaining compliance and security standards while supporting the organization's identity management strategy.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Design, implement, and maintain Neurocrine's Identity and Access Management program leveraging Sailpoint IdentityNow and related technology

  • Develop and maintain IAM automation solutions by coding in PowerShell, Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript, while configuring and customizing IAM tools and platforms to meet organizational security requirements and business needs

  • Collaborate with non-IT teams to develop and implement access profiles, roles, and entitlement packages

  • Integrate 3rd party applications with the IAM platform leveraging a variety of integration technologies (REST, SCIM, built-In, custom)

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) while collaborating closely with internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance, providing comprehensive documentation and screenshots as requested to support audit processes and maintain regulatory standards

  • Manage and execute certification campaigns to maintain access control integrity

  • Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements in a highly regulated environment

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex identity and access management and synchronization issues.

  • Manage integration, automation, and infrastructure definition code in a version-controlled environment backed by CICD

  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members

  • Supports or may collaborate on multiple complex projects / initiatives / on cross functional teams

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred and 4+ years of relevant experience OR

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred and 2+ years of related experience

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience with using IAM platforms, preferably SaaS based

  • Extensive experience in developing PowerShell, Python, Typescript, and Javascript for automation and integration

  • Experience in AWS, DevOps practices, and using Terraform for IAM infrastructure management

  • Strong understanding of processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the work and recognizes downstream impact on other functional areas

  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency

  • Experience working with audit teams and managing certification campaigns

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in highly regulated industries

  • Significant experience with git, including pull requests and github actions

  • Experience with various identity management platforms and technologies

  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work closely with non-IT teams to develop access strategies

  • Experience in gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions

  • Experience with the Okta identity management platform

  • Certifications in Sailpoint technologies, Identity Providers, Cloud, or other relevant areas

  • Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry or similar regulated environments

  • Knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, and other data protection regulations

  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $130,100.00-$188,550.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
