THE JOB:

Join our dynamic team at Mandalay Bay as a Ticketing Representative and be part of delivering unforgettable experiences! In this exciting role you'll be responsible for driving ticket sales for an array of thrilling events, from concerts and shows to exhibits and attractions. You'll provide exceptional, polished service to both our internal and external guests, ensuring each interaction is memorable. Your key responsibilities will include generating ticket sales, assisting with guest inquiries, and managing cash transactions. Whether you're working across our iconic arenas, mid-size venues, or at special events, every day will offer a unique and dynamic experience. THE STARTING RATE: $17 an hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Sells and Processes Ticket Orders: Handle ticket orders and will-call requests for shows and events at arenas, mid-size venues, and special events, providing prompt and courteous guest service.

  • Ancillary Product Sales: Sell additional event products, such as merchandise, parking, VIP packages, food and beverage inclusions, and suite offerings.

  • Guest Inquiries: Provide knowledgeable responses to guest questions, offering detailed information on arena services, venue amenities, and tenant events (e.g., NHL, WNBA, NLL, UFC).

  • Guest Complaint Resolution: Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority and escalate issues to venue leadership when necessary.

  • Cash Handling: Manage a cash drawer with various tender types (cash, credit cards), adhering to department and federal regulations (e.g., MTL Logs, IRS 8300 Forms).

  • Event Day Support: Assist with ticket verification before entry, in-house relocations, and managing guest queues by assembling and disassembling stanchions as needed.

  • Mobile App Support: Help guests adopt and troubleshoot the mobile application on both Android and iOS platforms.

  • VIP and Executive Service: Provide high-level customer service to VIPs, artists, promoters, sponsors, and executive guests.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Cash handling: Experience handling cash transactions accurately and responsibly.

  • Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests.

  • Ticketing: Familiarity with ticketing systems and processes.

  • Arena/ticket office: Previous experience working in an arena or ticket office environment.
