Position Overview
Accessible Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Systems (ATLAS), a research center at the University of Kansas (KU), is seeking a Psychometrics Project Coordinator to support operational assessment deliverables and research studies for the Dynamic Learning Maps alternate assessment program. This position conducts quality assurance checks on score reports, interpretive materials and other supporting documentation and supports development of research study materials including dissemination materials. This position also supports the research and psychometric team on coordination of operational processes and workflows.

Job Description
40%: Conduct quality assurance checks on assessment deliverables. Duties may include:
  • Assist in training and managing temporary workers.
  • Track progress and shift resources across multiple functional teams as appropriate.
  • Frequent communication to ensure any potential issues are discovered and resolved quickly.
30%: Support coordination and documentation of operational processes and workflows. Duties may include:
  • Create and maintain training materials for quality assurance checks.
  • Ensure other operational process documentation is kept up to date.
  • Communicate with other teams via Microsoft Teams and Skype to ensure coordination of processes.
25%: Support development of research study materials. Duties may include:
  • Create or update materials to support routine operational studies utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Run simple scripts and record and summarize output.
  • Finalize documentation by editing and resolving comments.
5%: Other Duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
  • This is a full-time (40 hours/week), unclassified position.
  • Depending on the center's and team's needs, well qualified candidates may be allowed a work location that is hybrid or remote.
  • This position will be required to travel to Lawrence and/or other locations occasionally.
  • This position will require attendance at regularly scheduled meetings, onsite or through telecommunication platforms.

Required Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree and 1 year of relevant experience OR high school diploma or GED equivalency and four years of relevant experience.
  2. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and web conferencing tools, as evidenced in application materials.
  3. Experience conducting and maintaining documentation for quality assurance checks of operational deliverables, as evidenced in application materials.
  4. Experience supporting complex projects or business processes/workflows, as demonstrated in application materials.
  5. Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, as evidenced in application materials and work experience.
  6. Detail-oriented with strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, as evidenced by application materials and work experience.
  7. Experience working both independently and in teams.
  8. Previous work experience that required the ability to adapt and to manage competing priorities under strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a closely related field, or Master's degree.
  2. One or more years of experience monitoring workflows, deliverables, business processes, or project schedules.
  3. Previous work experience collaborating with individuals, internal teams, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
  4. One or more years of experience editing and/or writing reports, such as products for academic and non-academic audiences.
  5. Previous experience developing, using, and maintaining process documentation or procedures.
  6. Previous experience developing surveys, collecting data, analyzing quantitative or qualitative data, and producing reports.
  7. Experience with a range of software such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Moodle (or other learning management software), Qualtrics (or other survey tools), and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  8. Experience contributing to grant proposal development, including proposal writing/editing.
  9. Flexibility and willingness to adapt and respond to changes in work priorities and processes, as evidenced from prior work experience.
