Position Overview: Myers and Stauffer is seeking a marketing specialist with a proven project management background and strong writing skills. to join its marketing team. In this role, the marketing specialist will support website and social media content; internal and external communications; trade show exhibits; and corporate events. This position will allow the associate to gain a broad knowledge of the firm and all parts of the marketing communications team, from the website and social media to event planning and internal communications. Essential Functions:
- Assist with website updates using WordPress site.
- Assist with content creation of social media posts, collateral pieces, articles for the firm's intranet, etc.
- Assist with design of collateral pieces and other design projects using InDesign, Photoshop, and Canva.
- Assist with the management of the firm's LinkedIn, X, and Instagram pages and presence.
- Manage external email campaigns using Constant Contact, including design and analytics.
- Work with partners and senior leaders to develop blog posts for publishing on the website and social media.
- Help support the firm's trade show presence. This will include working with booth vendor and show contacts, selecting conference giveaways, preparing items for shipping, making hotel reservations, monitoring conference deliverable deadlines, etc.
- Support the firm's internal and external meeting needs such as agenda creation, hotel and event space, catering, collateral, swag, etc.
- Provide proof reading and formatting assistance for the marketing team and other members of the firm as needed.
- Other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field strongly preferred.
- 1-3 years of related experience required.
- Strong writer with editing and proofreading abilities.
- Experience with WordPress and Social platforms preferred.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop preferred.
- Familiarity with Constant Contact or other email platforms preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple timeframes for various projects and track status for draft, final and approval processes.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.
- Willing to travel up to 10%.
The Team: Myers and Stauffer takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have throughout our offices. For this position, the employee will report to one of our Managers or Senior Managers on the Marketing team. Work Style: Our general business hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, but can vary based on business needs. Dependent on performance, our in-office associates are eligible for a hybrid work schedule after their initial 90-day training period.
