Revenue Accountant - Full Time - Hybrid(3 days in office per week)) Compass Health is currently looking for an Revenue Accountant to join our Accounting Team. What you will be performing The Revenue Accountant ensures the accuracy and compliance of revenue related financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards and regulations for Compass Health and its Affiliates.
- Reviewing and analyzing contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Preparing and reconciling monthly revenue reports and funder balances and providing detailed analyses of variances to budget and forecast.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of internal controls and policies related to revenue accounting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including housing stakeholders.
- Participating in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Conducting regular audits of revenue-related accounts and transactions to maintain accuracy and detect any irregularities or issues.
- Assists with audit preparation by providing documentation and explanations for revenue-related items.
- Working closely with the fee for services accounts receivable team to ensure that receivables are accurately recorded.
- Staying current with changes in revenue recognition standards, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve revenue accounting processes.
- Assist with preparation of year end eliminating entries for all Compass Health legal entities.
- Responds to inquiries regarding financial statements and program budgets.
- Participates in regularly scheduled supervision and team meetings.
What you will be carrying along
- BA Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting.
- Experience with government grant revenue preferred.
- Experience working with multiple legal entities in an accounting related role.

- Strong general ledger accounting skills, and the ability to quickly obtain a thorough understanding of the organization's general ledger structure.

- Demonstrated ability to query databases and write reports.

- Ability to work calmly, effectively, and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced, high production, and high-pressure environment.

- Demonstrated organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- General computer proficiency, including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Intermediate Excel experience.
- Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check, which may or may not include an additional search by DSHS.
