Objective

Perform the role of Client Services Associate for the Commercial Banking Division, ensuring that all client service issues are managed in an expeditious manner upholding the highest standards of service excellence. Partners with Client Service Managers to deliver customer service to clients along with necessary administrative support.

Responsibilities/Duties

    Daily, process/ decision customer overdrafts in timely manner in accordance with check deposit departments cut-offs including receiving approval when required.
  • Monitor Commercial Credit mailbox and process customer advances and paydowns request.
  • Be the focal point for client service issues to field all questions, comments, and concerns that clients might have on an ongoing basis.
  • Work directly with the Treasury Management team when customers experience fraud on the bank accounts.
  • Interfaces with branches, customers, loan, and deposit accounting departments and other appropriate departments as required in reference to commercial banking credit and non-credit products
  • Possesses knowledge of loan, deposit, and treasury management products in order to suggest products to new customers and submit referrals.
  • Assist branches in opening new accounts for commercial customers.
  • Update customer / client information on the system, when needed.
  • Pull statement copies, check copies, and signature cards, when needed.
  • Make customer deposits at branch when needed.
  • Review loan and deposit accounting system information and reports to ensure that assigned commercial banking assets and liabilities are set up and accounted for correctly.
  • Backup team members when needed.
  • Assist Portfolio Managers with the ordering of and follow-up on outside information used in the underwriting process, i.e., credit bureau reports, searches, D&B's, etc., when needed.
  • Special projects when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the SVP or /Team Leader.


Essential Functions

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee may be required to ascend/descend stairs and work atop a small ladder to store and retrieve files. The employee will need to position self to lift up to 20 pounds of materials for file maintenance. The worker sits most of the time; however, some amount of mobility is necessary to accomplish tasks. The ability to communicate and exchange information verbally and written is required. The incumbent will operate a computer terminal and phone with repetitive motion, while analyzing or preparing data. Temperature changes may occur during the workday in the office setting.



Knowledge - Skills & Abilities

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three to Five years of Banking experience or related experience in a customer service/operations role
  • Intermediate efficiency in the Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Miser, Salesforce, FIS Image Centre and FIS Vison preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Prior work experience in a commercial bank environment preferred.
