US Risk Management Analyst I

This position will be responsible for vendor due diligence, insurance renewals, acquisition due diligence and integration, claim management and system related projects management and system related projects management and system related projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as backup to Senior Analyst to process product, completed operation and general liability claims as well as serve as a backup for auto first and third party and transit claims and loss control.
  • Provide support for loss control projects in these areas, work reviewed by Risk Department Management.
  • Cleanse the insurance claims exceptions in Origami on a monthly basis, in order for the Risk Management information System (RMIS) to produce claim reports and analysis.
  • Work with the senior members of the team in enhancing global compliance through monthly compliance reports, escalation of non-compliant suppliers internally, annual refresh of waivers and outreach support.
  • Serve as backup for conducting a risk assessment on new vendors and working with Regulatory, Legal and Marketing to complete the new vendor set up packets.
  • Support the Risk Manager in training and support for use of DocuSign for new vendor set ups.
  • Responsible for conducting diligence and integration on less complicated acquisitions and developing skillset to work on international acquisitions.
  • Support the RM Team with collection of insurance data for renewals and listens in to renewal strategy meetings and calls.
  • Supports the Director of Risk Management in formulation of the insurance programs and budget allocations
  • Maintains the RM team intranet site, approves Account Payable name changes and item move requests in JDE for merchandise supplier accounts.
  • Supports the RM team in administration of invoice requests and the issuance of surety and bid bonds as well as certificates of insurance.
  • Prepare the Risk Management Snapshot summarizing domestic claims, international claims, and global supplier compliance on a monthly basis.
  • File payroll and other required employment data with the monopolistic workers compensation states (Ohio, Washington, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, Wyoming) for Henry Schein, Inc., and subsidiaries. Assists subsidiaries who have questions and concerns with monopolistic workers compensation administration. Complies with state audit requests when requested.
  • Make sure all claims are assigned an appropriate location code in RISKTRAC on a monthly basis. If claims are missing a location code, a location code is to be assigned.
  • Update and distribute the Risk Management Claims binder with latest insurance carrier information and claim instructions. Responsible to attend industry webinar/seminars as required.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills
  • Familiarity in all Microsoft office programs
  • Proficient in JDE
  • Associate in Risk Management Certification
  • Basic understanding of internal Finance/Accounting concepts and terminology

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 2 to 4 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.

The posted range for this position is $54,540-$85,219 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
