Coating Operator

Summary: Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead Person, the Coating Operator is responsible for all activities related to the coating of the product as per formula instructions. This role also involves adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) to ensure the quality and quantity of the product produced.

Responsibilities:

• Operate coating machinery independently and within a team environment.
• Move skids using an electric/manual jack and operate hand tools.
• Match all labels with batch records.
• Document coating process information as per SOP.
• Load and unload coating machine.
• Weigh coating ingredients as per formula to prepare coating solution/color solution.
• Monitor coating operation periodically and report any abnormal conditions to the manager.
• Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain regular work attendance.
• Follow safety rules, SOPs, and cGMP guidelines.

Experience:

• Familiarity with Pharmaceutical/Food manufacturing, warehouse, distribution.

Education, Certification, Licenses & Registrations:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Skills:

• Good English verbal and written skills.
• Basic mathematic skills.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds.
• Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish).
