Job Title:	Mgr, Project Pkg Amazon
Job Function:	Amazon project manager providing package design direction, pre-production technical guidance across all print methods, brand packaging strategies, overseeing schedules and approvals and interfacing with our internal Graphics Coordinator and CSR to provide artwork mechanicals and print plates which deliver within Amazon timelines.

Provide project management and package design direction enabling Amazon to grow and succeed in their On Box Advertising, Proprietary Self Promotion and Standard Shipper programs - resulting in artwork and printing plate sales growth with an opportunity to partner on innovations and technologies.

Attend team meetings with Amazon and their converting partners to drive high end projects and strategic initiatives to their completion.	%25
Responsible for overseeing and providing artwork guidance for development of packaging, including established and new businesses.	%20
Provide technical guidance for initial packaging designs to designers and business stakeholders. Communicate differences between design and production execution to set expectations.	%10
Work with designers, brand, operations and procurement to meet their individual graphics and structural requirements and provide synchronization of deliverables.	%10
Manage artwork approvals across all stakeholders, internal and external to Amazon.	%5
Create and manage pre-package timelines.	%5
Initiate pre-production conference calls, create agenda and provide files. Track tasks/deliverables and provide updates to the participants.	%10

Responsible for providing technical/artistic guidance which allows Amazon to obtain a printed package that meets their client's expectations and timelines, providing growth for their On Box Advertising program along with their internal printed package programs. There are numerous stakeholders within this process, internal/external, who have varying agendas and requirements which must be met or the programs will fail.

This person must be a sound decision maker and able to execute brand packaging strategies with great strength and knowledge of the industry and different print processes. They must have the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple complex projects at once and be a key decision maker throughout the process.

The success of Amazon's enhanced bag program via new package types and new suppliers is key to their ability to grow and meet demands. Amazon's growth will allow Sun to gain printing plate sales and provide innovations and technologies early in the project development stage. It also provides an opportunity for inks and coatings sales through Amazon's packaging converters. If this position were to fail it would most likely jeopardize our standing with Amazon.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of 5+ Years of experience in graphic package design
Strong project management and communication skills with ability to manage multiple complex projects at one time
Experience managing end-to-end process for artwork development
Understanding of different print processes
Experience creating brand packaging strategies
Able to provide technical guidance for initial packaging designs to designers and business stakeholders; able to communicate differences between design and production execution
Ability to work autonomously
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Strong skill level in design software, e.g. Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop
Knowledge of printing process, inks, and materials
Knowledge and experience with various substrates such as folding cartons, corrugated, flexible packaging and prototyping
