Join Ecolab in Martinsburg, WV as our Materials Manager I. This leadership role reports to the Plant Manager and manages a team 5 direct and 2 indirect employees. This role plans and directs the activities of a group of materials planners and planning schedulers. Accountable for the management of the production planning function and purchasing functions. Manages the total inventory of products and materials by providing production plans, material requirements and inventory plans while meeting company objectives for service levels, quality, and competitive cost.

This role reports to the Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages plant Materials Department in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Select, approve and develop suppliers that meet Ecolab's quality and delivery standards.
  • Advise and coach department staff in handling personnel issues.
  • Customer Service Levels - delivery in full and on time (DIFOT)
  • Total Inventory (raw and in-process, finished goods)
  • Engages in Sales and Operations Planning activities with internal and external stakeholders, to develop short- and long-term capacity commitments.
  • Master Data Maintenance (A/B/C part classification, forecasts, safety stocks, etc.)
  • Effectively manage your team, building their talent through your leadership, communication, and engagement
  • Transformation from a forecast-driven to a demand-driven supply chain (pull system)
  • Maintain relationships with key vendors, influencing how Ecolab leverages Just-In-Time and vendor managed inventories.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Science, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain, planning, and/or procurement
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience (goal-setting, team building, onboarding, coaching, etc.)
  • Solid understand of Planning and Purchasing methodologies (forecasts, safety stocks, replenishment strategies, inventory optimization, lead time reduction, Kanban, etc.)
  • Proficiency with data analytics (databases, MS Excel, and presentations)
  • Demonstrated experience in operational excellence (lean six sigma, TPM, loss analysis, root cause, permanent corrective actions, etc.)
  • SAP experience is a plus

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $104,700.00 - $157,100.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
