Facility Monitor

DUTIES:

Monitors and controls access to Classified Facilities. Carries out instructions primarily oriented toward ensuring that emergencies and security violations are readily discovered and reported to appropriate authority. Intervenes directly only in situations which require minimal action to safeguard property. Maintain and update journal entries for daily activities as required. Access computer database to determine security eligibility. Maintain constant surveillance of security monitors. Update security data, run inquiries, provide quality control, develop reports using various databases. Provides administrative/customer support duties for access control and physical security support. Process certifications for access via fax, email, electronic message format and databases for visitors' access for daily visit. Assists with onboarding and out-processing of personnel as well as assist in updating accesses for personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience:

• High School Diploma.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions.
• Currently possess: a Secret Clearance, approved for access to government computers, valid driver's license, ability to sit in front of a computer screen for up to 12 hours a day, reliable work ethic, ability to remain calm and speak clearly, ability to multi-task, and ability to prioritize.

Desired Experience:

• 1-year minimum experience as a MSC JOC Facility Monitor.
• Military or civilian experience in jobs related to security, protection of property from theft or damage.
• Military or civilian experience in meeting the general public and assisting visitors by answering questions and giving directions.
• Understand and recognize military rank structure.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to travel unaccompanied to locations within the continental United States and foreign locations.
• Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a Secret Clearance and access to classified information.
• Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug testing; will be subject to random drug testing.
• Must be available to work shift work (day, evening, night) and available to work weekends and holidays.
