As a result, we have an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a Senior Structural Project Manager in our Warrenville, IL; Chicago, IL; or Dixon, IL office location.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the market leader and project manager and/or lead engineer for structural design projects for IDOT, Tollway, and municipal clients
  • Lead structural design and plan development for any typical highway structure
  • Mentor structural design and bridge inspection staff
  • Participate in business development opportunities including writing technical proposals and proactive marketing of future opportunities
  • Collaborate with our Transportation Structures Division to manage resources for projects within the Midwest
  • Travel as necessary

The successful candidate will have the following background:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil or structural engineering
  • 8+ years of relevant transportation structural design experience in a consulting environment
  • SE license in Illinois

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

  • Experience developing and leading marketing initiatives
  • SE license in Illinois
  • PE license in any state
  • Proven leadership in transportation structural design projects
  • Seismic structural design
  • Familiarity with structural analysis and design software (OBD Suite, MDX, Midas, STAAD, AASHTO BrR, MicroStation, AutoCad, etc)
  • A track record in business development and building successful practices with DOTs
