Summary: The Program Manager shall be responsible for the performance of the work, contract compliance and quality control for the Military Funeral Honors (MFH) and Survivor Outreach Services (SOS). The Program Manager or alternate shall have full authority to act for the contractor on all contract matters relating to daily operation of this contract.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related matters, including communication with government stakeholders and subcontractors.
- Establish and implement program objectives, strategies, and performance standards to meet contractual obligations.
- Oversee the scheduling, coordination, and execution of Military Funeral Honors ceremonies, ensuring they are conducted with dignity and precision.
- Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure all services meet or exceed performance standards.
- Monitor program compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as military protocols and policies.
- Conduct regular program audits and reviews, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Address personnel issues promptly and in accordance with company policies and contractual requirements.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of military customs, courtesies, and protocols, particularly those related to Military Funeral Honors
- Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and resources
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 7 years of experience in program management
- Ability to pass a background check and favorable FBI fingerprint check
- U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior military experience or familiarity with military operations
- Knowledge of Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) requirements and best practices
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent
- Experience developing and implementing quality control and performance monitoring plans
