Summary

Summary:
Oversees and supervises staff sonographers by acting as a liaison between sonographers, physicians, nurses and support staff in order to maintain smooth operation of the department. Is responsible to work with all vascular ultrasound sites to ensure criteria for accreditation with Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) is met and Quality standards are achieved. Routinely reviews and updates Policy and Procedure Manual for vascular imaging

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or related field or equivalent experience with professional knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: See "Education"
  4. Proven ability to lead a team, facilitate efficient workflows and implement change.
  5. Knowledge of medical facility procedures.
  6. Knowledge of Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) accreditation Guidelines and ability to communicate with physicians and technologists to achieve accreditation.
  7. Skills in planning, organizing, delegating and supervising.
  8. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  10. Strong computer skills.
  11. Ability to read, interpret and apply policies and procedures.
  12. Ability to maintain confidentiality
  13. Ability to effectively interact with patients, medical staff and the public.
  14. Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations.
