DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Supervisor 1, you will provide leadership, supervision and direction for the Blair CAO clerical unit, as well as well as provide training and orientation to clerical persons as needed. You will evaluate, monitor, and instruct subordinates to ensure accurate and efficient support to IMCW staff; process assistance benefits through the use of a PC; assign work to subordinates in an equitable manner; identify personnel problems and recommend the appropriate action. You will also provide administrative support to the Executive Director. You will possess a working knowledge of office equipment and the ability make service calls when needed. Additionally, you will plan and approve leave for subordinates maintaining adequate area coverage to ensure efficient workflow.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are negotiable 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2; or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Blair County. If no eligible candidates who live within Blair County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
