We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Manager to join our N.A. Headquarters in Austin, TX!

The IT Operations Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and managing the Operations staff and/or consultants to ensure the stable and secure operation of Ottobock North America's IT systems and technology platforms. The IT Operations management function includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly the service desk, new technologies and hardware for end users and streamlining the operational processes. The IT Operations Manager works closely together with the IT Infrastructure (Design and Build) and Applications team and will furthermore ensure that required knowledge is identified, developed and trained for the ongoing day-by-day operational management of solutions and technology. Additionally, he/she ensures alignment with global architecture governance requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for project management of Operational initiatives including confirming alignment with company strategy and IT plan; managing overall projects, planning, prioritizing, coordinating and reporting against project milestones activities
  • Monitor the help desk and escalations
  • Implementing new operating procedures for the operations team while looking to improve existing procedures
  • Work with global IT and international support team
  • Building strong partnerships and managing vendors and service providers to ensure cost efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Generate and distribute IT financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis as well as planning yearly budget for Operations
  • Provide direction on how the overall business solution is positioned, deployed, and supported globally
  • Work in accordance with IT security best practices and adhere to Ottobock network security policies
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Up to 10% travel requirements
Qualifications
  • Four-year related degree with 5 years of relevant experience, preferred experience in the healthcare and manufacturing industry.
  • Experience designing and/or troubleshooting problems and providing superior customer service.
  • Experience building strong partnerships with both business and vendors to set clear expectations.
  • Strong business process management knowledge.
  • Proven facilitation skills across multiple business disciplines, organization levels and geographies.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with developing creative solutions and meeting project objectives.
  • Ability to provide technical training to end users. Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
  • Experience building relationships with executive leadership, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of IT Service-Management processes
  • Strong project management skills and experience a plus
  • ServiceNow experience
  • ITIL Foundations v3 certification preferred
