To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Associate's degree in a Technological field and 5 years minimum in a Quality Inspection discipline;
  • Or 10 years minimum in a Quality Inspection discipline specializing in First Piece and First Article Inspection.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 current standards.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and inspection techniques of Automated Measuring Machines. These may include, but are not limited to: Zeiss CMM's (Calypso), Keyence.
  • Specific competencies contributing to success include demonstrated process improvement, effective audit abilities and a variety of inspection and/or test techniques
  • Other relevant qualifications: Practical experience and technical knowledge of a wide variety of gages, measuring and test equipment used in inspection of precision machined parts, approval of new fixturing and tooling. Knowledge and understanding of AS9100 along with knowledge of AS9102 form requirements.
  • Experience using DISCUS software is desired but not required.
  • In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company's "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.

As a Sr. Quality Manufacturing Inspector, you will:

  • Function as an aid to the manufacturing process.
  • Inspect parts using inspection techniques and layouts of varying complexity, utilizing all forms of precision measuring equipment (surface plates, height gages, micro-height, gage blocks, sine bars, air gauging and surface analyzer).
  • Run CMM (Zeiss) inspection programs and perform manual inspection for simple and complex parts, components, and assemblies while ensuring the integrity of CMM inspection results.
  • Assist machinists in the use and care of inspection equipment, interpretation of drawings and other quality related activities
  • Work closely with CMM Programmers, Process Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, manufacturing operation managers and machinists.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $34.56-$46.07 Hourly

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
