Pay information



  • Pay Level: 019
  • FLSA Category: Non-exempt - Hourly
  • Individual pay will be based on skills, experience, qualifications, location, internal equity, and other relevant factors.

A day in the life

The Contract Analyst is responsible for the timely and accurate creation of client benefit materials including contracts, benefit plan books, at-a-glance product brochures, and summaries of benefits and coverage (SBCs). This position ensures all documents are maintained in compliance with company business practices and in accordance with the language filed and approved by the North Dakota Insurance Department.

Your responsibilities will include



  • Creates client-specific contractual benefit plan materials by analyzing existing approved documents, determining what changes are required, and then accurately editing content. Ensures final documents are compliant with company business practices, appropriate provider arrangements, state mandates, and federal legislation.
  • Collaborates professionally and effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure materials created are consistent and accurate according to the benefits the client requested.
  • Checks own work and the work of peers to ensure benefit materials are accurate. Provides feedback to peers on quality of work.
  • Distributes final benefit plan materials to both internal and external distribution channels.
  • Maintains knowledge of insurance products, company policies and procedures, and federal regulations
  • Compiles and submits information from the company to the North Dakota Insurance Department for review and approval. Monitors and communicates/collaborates with internal stakeholders until the filing is approved and closed.
  • Assists with the coordination and language translation of material through appropriate vendors.
  • Provides ongoing and consistent support to the company by answering questions and responding to emails in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participates in special projects or other activities, as requested.



What you need to succeed



  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare or a related field.
  • 3 years of healthcare, insurance, contract administration, benefit contracts or related experience is required.
  • Be a problem solver with the ability to research, analyze and define methods, practices, and procedures to resolve issues.
  • Desire to expand knowledge base as practices continue to evolve in the workplace.
  • Brings a creative mindset and a go-get-em' attitude to find ways to improve upon processes and projects.
  • Collaborates effectively with others, contributes to group goals, and supports colleagues in a positive, solution-focused manner to achieve success together.



Equivalent combination of education, experience or training determined to be acceptable by Human Resources may be substituted, unless regulated by contract or program standards
