AsSr. Network Engineer I, you'll manage, configure, and maintain hardware and software on Army networks, including both enterprise and tactical environments. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) network configurations, a strong understanding of enterprise and tactical network operations, and a passion for ensuring secure and reliable communication systems. Familiarity with cybersecurity practices is a plus.

What you'll do:



  • Configure and maintain network infrastructure to ensure seamless communication.
  • Monitor network performance and address outages or degraded performance promptly.
  • Implement network changes and upgrades in compliance with DoD guidelines and best practices.
  • Support tactical network deployment and ensure operability in field conditions.
  • Document network topologies, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for reference and audits.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure network systems are secure and compliant.
  • Perform regular updates and patching of network devices to maintain system security and functionality.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.


What you'll need to succeed:



  • An active DoD Secret clearance
  • 5-7+ years of experience managing and configuring network systems in Army or DoD environments.
  • Proven experience with both enterprise and tactical network operations.
  • Strong understanding of DoD network security requirements and configurations
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices such as Cisco, Juniper, or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of enterprise and tactical network architectures, including WAN, LAN, and field communications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex network issues.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds or NetFlow.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of encryption, VPNs, and secure communication protocols.
