Position Purpose |
The Director of Infrastructure and Software Engineering at Tuck School of Business oversees the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the school's IT infrastructure and software development. This role ensures the reliability, security, and scalability of all technology systems and services. The Director leads a diverse team of multidisciplinary engineers, managing vendor relationships and collaborating with Tuck IT leadership to support the school's academic and administrative functions. Leveraging profound subject matter expertise, adept collaboration, and exceptional relationship management, the Director serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, contributing significantly to Tuck's achievements in delivering top-tier, high-performing solutions. |

Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities |
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a relevant area.
- 2-5 years of experience managing a team within IT infrastructure or software development, with a focus on guiding technical projects and supporting team growth.
- 8-10 years of experience as a software developer or systems administrator, or comparable expertise in related fields.
- Demonstrated progressive responsibilities in leadership and management positions.
- Deep understanding of complex architectural roles.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Project management expertise, with experience in methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or PMP certification, to lead and deliver complex projects effectively.
- Experience with technologies such as cloud adoption, containerization, virtualization, and infrastructure as code.
- Demonstrated strategic planning skills, with a track record of aligning IT infrastructure development with overarching organizational goals and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Certifications or demonstrated expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure management tools, such as Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Nutanix, or similar technologies.
- Experience working within an academic environment.
