The Crane Maintenance Technician will perform both preventative maintenance & corrective maintenance to mechanical and electrical crane equipment/systems in all assigned facilities. Assists Crane Operations Manager in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to cranes in all areas of production buildings.
What is your day to day? Maintenance . Maintain and repair cranes, hoists, and lifts to ensure proper operation Maintain and complete documentation for all assigned work orders, daily tool inventories, and special projects using the Corrigo work order system Utilize all required safety trainings and policies to minimize hazards and perform work in a safe manner at all times Assist the client's production team during material moves as necessary. Prioritizes all PM's, corrective and emergent work orders for the site (annual, monthly, weekly, and daily). Safety Complete all required safety trainings as scheduled and Hazard Assessments as necessary. Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them. Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws. Administrative Update work order status in real time, utilizing CMMS system. Include all required documentation in CMMS system for work orders completed prior to shift change Escalating problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely manner Attend work and safety meetings as required Physical work requirements and work condition Lifting up to 80 lbs. Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, working/extending overhead, and standing for extended periods of time. Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot). Working from heights; Working in a manlift in excess of 30ft high, climbing a ladder up to 30ft, working off of a ladder Must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required. Desired experience and technical skills Required Experience with hand tools and power tools Proficient in basic computer application software such as MS Office, Outlook, CMMS (Maximo), etc Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training in the areas of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and repair, reading electrical schematics Preferred 3-5 years of experience in overhead crane field service High School Diploma or equivalent Must be able to pass federal background check Preferred Preferred 3-5 years of experience in overhead crane field service |
