Role Summary

Rivian is hiring a Financial Analyst for our Service Finance team. This analyst will manage Field Service OpEx and collaborate with Service Center managers to drive each site to profitability. They will also support the Service Programs team. This role is critical to strategically growing the Rivian Service Center network, so we're looking for someone who is extremely analytical, super attentive to detail, a strong relationship builder, and motivated to drive results.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted Business Partner to the Service organization by effectively reviewing, analyzing, and articulating divisional budgets and forecasts, and executing financial planning needs
  • Manage Field Service Non-Payroll OpEx planning; review and approve POs within budget; drive down spend on Consumables and other Operating Expenses by encouraging best practices in the field
  • Generate site-level Service Center P&Ls for a region of the US and review monthly with site managers to drive each site to profitability; manage Small Works Requests for sites in your region; and serve as the point-of-contact for all Finance questions
  • Support key projects and analysis for the Service Programs team, including Mobile Service, Roadside Operations, and Rentals/Loaners
  • Partner with Corporate Accounting and other Finance teams to perform monthly and quarterly close responsibilities; including managing accruals and preparing close presentations
  • Prepare Budget and Forecast presentations that provide insightful analysis and required action items to support Service leadership in making informed business decisions, identify risks & opportunities, and track variances to the annual budget
  • Proactively work to improve data quality and collection processes to drive continuous improvement in forecast timing and accuracy
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support other teams as needed

Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to process data from multiple sources and build models from the ground up
    Provide robust support for business decisions through a methodical and holistic analytical approach with the ability to view challenges through various lenses
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to step-back and see the big picture
  • Flexibility in prioritizing in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to effectively articulate financial stories in a clear and concise manner
  • Proven ability in developing and improving processes to make reporting better, faster, and easier
  • Ability to partner with people of various background and levels
  • Strong Excel, Docs, and Slides skills required
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion, Databricks, and Hex a plus
  • Experience in Automotive or Retail industries preferred
  • Bachelor's degree (MBA/CPA a plus) in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of related business experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field
