Description

The Department of Philosophy at Smith College invites applications for a 1-year, benefits-eligible position at the rank of Lecturer, to begin July 1, 2025. The teaching load is five courses per year. The department has curricular needs especially in epistemology and metaethics. In addition, it seeks candidates whose engagement with these areas addresses the roles of race and/or class and/or gender. Applicants should hold a PhD in philosophy or be advanced graduate students who are ABD. Candidates from groups underrepresented in philosophy are encouraged to apply.
