THE HIGH LEVEL Iron Bow Technologies has an engineering opportunity providing enterprise-wide Data Center architecture and implementation to support for the Program Executive Office, Defense Healthcare Management Systems (PEO DHMS) on classified and unclassified networks.This includes architecture, implementation, and operational support for the Data Center components and the Data Center system as a whole. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Responsible for supporting the planning, design, implementation, transition and management of the complex modern Testing Infrastructure (TI) data center infrastructure.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity, fabric infrastructure, storage networking, planning network services, automation, and orchestration.
- Design and troubleshoot the Data Center Layer 2 overlays such as VXLAN and EVP.
- Prepare and maintain project planning documentation, create, and maintain network maps/diagrams and presentation material and input all relevant information into network monitoring tools.
- Builds simulated networks in test labs to resolve highly complex problems and compatibility issues
- Successfully manages customer relationships
- Maintain a disaster recovery plan for the Data Center.
- Provide training, as requested.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, Cisco switches, ASA firewalls, F5 load balancers, VPN, QoS)
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 support, troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the program's cyber security team
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Cisco 9k setup, configuration and management, SPINE, LEAF, VXLAN
- Cisco firepower ASA setup, configuration and management, NAT, PAT, IPSEC, ACLs
- F5 Networks setup, configuration and management, LTM, APM, IPSEC
- Support efforts to automate system monitoring and maintenance
- Ensure the entire DC complies with all DISA STIGs by implementing firmware, software, and hardware changes as necessary.
- Hardening of systems to establish and maintain cyber security compliance with applicable directives
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience in network design and administration in a network support environment.
- CCIE Datacenter, Routing and Switching, or Security; must have completed the lab and have an active status on the CCIE (CCIE written does not meet the requirement).
- Located in DC Metro Area. 90% remote, 10% onsite in Ashburn and Chantilly VA
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
