About the role
The Part-Time Health and Safety Coordinator will support the Balfour Beatty Investments Health & Safety program by collecting and maintaining all Health & Safety reporting.

What you'll be doing



  • Maintain, create, and modify Health & Safety documentation, Including but not limited to, Incident Reports, Inspections, Job Hazard Analysis, Libraries, Observations, OSHA Logs, Policies, Safety Alerts, Training Folders, Trend Analysis, What Three Things Alerts, Work Plans, ZHAC Summaries, etc
  • Collect Incident Report data and enter into applicable trackers and software applications. Conduct Incident Investigations and coordinate Follow-Up Actions.
  • Collaborate with Insurance & Risk to monitor Claims Management and update incident records.
  • Collect monthly Health & Safety reporting data from properties and record data in applicable trackers and software applications.
  • Create and deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports.



Typical Physical Demands: Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, controls, phones, and computer keyboard. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 lbs.

Work is performed in an office setting. Uses hands to manipulate phones, computer keyboard and similar tools. Ability to view computer screens, mobile devices, and other electronic equipment, for extended periods of time. Ability to work independently & effectively while at home / virtually. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 lbs.

Who we're looking for



  • Associate degree, preference in Health & Safety, Business Management, or relevant area of study
  • Minimum of 1 year in an administrative support role, within Health & Safety or Public Safety Field.
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, construction project management software, and general computer software
  • Knowledge and understanding of OSHA standards including safety and risk management techniques
  • OSHA Construction and General Industry 30 Hour Course, First Aid/ CPR, Procore Management Certification is required within 60 days of start or promotion.
  • OSHA #510 Construction Industry Standards & OSHA #511 General Industry Standards training is recommended.
  • Ability to travel throughout the company footprint up to 10%
  • Possession of a valid state issues driver's license and safe driving record are required
