Facility Monitor

DUTIES:

• Monitors and controls access to Classified Facilities.
• Carries out instructions primarily oriented toward ensuring that emergencies and security violations are readily discovered and reported to appropriate authority.
• Intervenes directly only in situations which require minimal action to safeguard property.
• Maintain and update journal entries for daily activities as required.
• Access computer database to determine security eligibility.
• Maintain constant surveillance of security monitors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience:

• High School Diploma.
• General computer skills.
• Currently possess a Secret Clearance and approved for access to government computers.

Desired Experience:

• Military or civilian experience in jobs related to security, protection of property from theft or damage.
• Military or civilian experience in meeting the general public and assisting visitors by answering questions and giving directions.
• Understand and recognize military rank structure.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to travel unaccompanied to locations within the continental United States and foreign locations.
• Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a Secret Clearance and access to classified information.
• Will be subject to pre-employment drug testing; will be subject to random drug screening.
• Must be available to work shift work (day, evening, night) and available to work weekends and holidays.
