Clarke Power Services is looking for a Service Writer for our Cincinnati OH location. The ideal candidate will utilize strong interpersonal (phone and in person), and strong mechanical background to maintain Clarke Power's commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. What are the Duties?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Managing all aspects of repair events from initial customer contact through to customer invoicing
  • Manage both retail and OE (Detroit Diesel Engine, Allison Transmission, Perkins Engine) warranty repairs
  • Actively engage in customer communication - phone, in person and via e-mail
  • Manage repairs through multiple third-party maintenance management / aftermarket warranty companies
  • Must be detail oriented and remain organized in a fast- paced setting
  • Willing to accept and engage in company paid industry training
  • Work diligently and help all team members be as successful as possible
  • Recognize that all customers have repair choices - it is up to you to make Clarke their only choice


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


  • Truck Service background is necessary
  • Truck engine experience is highly desirable
  • Parts background beneficial but not required
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum two years training in truck related maintenance.
  • Driver's License is required
  • CDL preferred


PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS


  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance. The associate must be able to read and write reports.
  • Implement and enforce Health and Safety legislations, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


  • ASE Certification in PMI & Brakes a plus
  • Valid driver's license
  • CDL license a plus
  • Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card
