Dotdash Meredith is looking for a Content and Marketing Strategist to join our team, focusing on strategic support and analysis for our Apple News and Commerce businesses. As a Content and Marketing Strategist, you will be responsible for analyzing the performance of our content and providing strategies for optimizing it to maximize user engagement and ROI. Your role will involve deep analysis of user behavior, content performance metrics, promotional levers, and market trends to ensure our content is discoverable and meets the needs of our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Performance Analysis:

  • Analyze content performance using internal reporting tools to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess content effectiveness.

  • Identify underperforming content and develop strategies to enhance its performance.

• Optimization & Strategy:

  • Work closely with internal teams to develop and implement content optimization strategies to improve performance.

  • Conduct A/B testing on content variations to determine the most effective formats, headlines, and layouts.

• Market & Competitor Analysis:

  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for content and promotional improvement.

• Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed reports on content performance, optimization efforts, and outcomes.

  • Document content optimization strategies, test results, and best practices for future reference.

  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders to drive content strategy decisions.

This position is hybrid in-office (Des Moines), with the ability to work remotely for up to two days per week. There is some night/weekend coverage during tentpole/holiday shopping events.

The Commerce Platforms team is within the Transactional Department. We are a hybrid team in the Des Moines, IA office consisting of around 5 team members. Our main focus is on the Apple News business with additional attention to growing other off-platform distribution of our content.
