The UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Director to lead our Clinical Operations Group. This opportunity is a full time day shift opening located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Minimum $110,843 - Midpoint $141,232*

*Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.

*Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.

Summary

Under limited supervision oversees and supports the Clinical Operations of UNM Medical Group, Inc (UNMMG). Responsible for meeting clinical strategic goals. Works with leadership in the ongoing development and administration of the outpatient care departments for UNMMG. Provides direction and oversees the administration of associated support staff. Ensures strategic, operational initiatives, policies and procedures are implemented.

Minimum Job Requirements of a Director of Clinical Operations:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field with 7 years of progressive experience in clinic operations management in an ambulatory setting. Verification of education and licensure will be required if selected for hire.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Director of Clinical Operations:



  1. Creates and maintains proper organizational structure and reporting systems.
  2. Performs annual reviews of Practice and Program Managers.
  3. Routinely meets with Managers and Directors to review operations and progress in completing organizational goals.
  4. Participates in key decision making regarding overall planning, work redesign, and staff development.
  5. Oversees the development of plans and makes recommendations relative to organizational and departmental operations including but not limited to, organizational structure, space utilization and layout, equipment use, work flow, staffing, etc.
  6. Prepares business and project plans to support new programs and expansion or re-organization proposals.
  7. Collaborates with UNMMG and UNM Health System leadership to ensure an alignment of services, practices and policies.
  8. In conjunction with the Director of Quality, ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies by continually monitoring appropriate organizational operations, programs, and physical properties; initiates changes where required and ensures that they are communicated and implemented.
  9. Participates in UNMMG's Quality Work Group and works with Quality Director to promote a culture of quality in all activities. Educates and informs staff regarding quality activities as appropriate.
  10. In conjunction with the Practice Managers, Program Managers, and Medical Directors develops annual budgets for the clinics. and performs monthly cost and productivity analysis.
  11. Plans, develops, and implements strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the clinics and programs.
  12. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
