Occupational Health Athletic Trainer
needed for a part-time contract
opportunity with Yoh's client located in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA.


This job is at a medical clinic that offers occupational, primary, and preventative care for employees. Main responsibilities include developing and executing innovative injury prevention programs, providing injury management within OSHA guidelines, and fostering a culture of wellness.


--> Shifts will be Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, 7:00am to 4:00pm

Top Skills You Should Possess:


  • Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience as an Athletic Trainer
  • Prior occupational health experience highly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively teach, counsel, and educate employees on topics related to healthy living



What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide injury prevention and management
  • Implement injury prevention programs while working collaboratively with the employee to ensure maximum utilization and optimal outcomes
  • First-aid injury management: perform first-aid level care on workplace injuries within OHSA guidelines
  • Participate in medical surveillance programs (ie hearing conversation)
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend adjustments to the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team to reduce the risk of injuries
  • Lead educational initiatives surrounding injury prevention, well-being, and other topics
  • Health promotion: be a resource for existing employer well-being initiatives to encourage employees to adopt a healthier lifestyle both at work and at home
  • Work closely with the EHS team, Human Resources, and leadership to integrate prevention and well-being initiatives into the company culture
  • Assist and participate in the work comp process



What You Need to Bring to the Table:

  • BLS certified
  • Certified by the Board of Certification (BOC)
  • Passionate about promoting health and wellbeing in the workplace
