Job Description:

The School District of Milton is seeking a self-motivated, energetic, and skilled leader to serve as Director of Student Services. The Director of Student Services will work in close partnership with the Director of Teaching and Learning to build a strong foundation of learning which meets the needs of all students. In addition, the candidate should have a thorough understanding and expertise in special education staffing, budgeting and planning, Federal IDEA grant management, testing and measurement, and multileveled systems of support in academic and behavioral areas.

This position will begin July 1, 2025 and will consist of a 260-day contract. The salary range for this position is $128,000 to $135,000 for the 2025-2026 contract year and it is based on experience and education. A highly competitive benefits package is also included.

Qualifications:

The School District of Milton is seeking an individual who will empower and engage staff and students in the learning process. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to provide strong instructional leadership to a dynamic team of dedicated administrators, teachers and support staff. The candidate should possess the ability to foster a professional learning community and lead staff in creating a positive and dynamic learning environment. Through the development of this professional learning community, the focus should remain on student achievement while creating a positive, caring, and safe environment. Administrators must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, staff, parents and the community.

Required leadership skills include: fluent communication and collaboration with various leadership styles, ability to effectively organize and prioritize and make informed decisions, and the ability and commitment to work through tough challenges and resolve conflicts.

Three (3) years of administrative or other educational leadership experience is preferred. Prior experience as a Director of Special Education and Pupil Services and/or Director of Instruction is preferred.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in education and hold or be eligible for WI DPI Certification as a Director of Special Education and Pupil Services - 5080.
