About the Role This position is responsible for pre and post sales technical support to consultants, contractors and end-users for Harman Professional Solutions' networked audio products. This position will specialize in Harman Professional Solutions' Networked Audio products. Your Team Individual contributor role on a team of 12. What You Will Do
Provide high-level technical expertise to both sales and clients worldwide; responds to situations where standard procedures have failed to isolate or fix problems. Provides high-level technical expertise to all stakeholders of both large and medium scale networked audio systems. Makes design recommendations to said stakeholders on best practice and correct utilization of Harman Professional equipment. Troubleshoot networked audio systems to satisfactory resolution. Interpret technical specifications and system scope narratives to determine the system functional and Graphical User Interface requirements. Interpret technical system drawings to determine the correct products and their configuration for connection to other equipment. Assists inside and outside sales personnel with understanding technical specifications and scope narratives. Helps the technical customer services group develop collateral material to aide in the understanding of highly technical concepts. Provides assistance with third-party control systems programmers interacting with Harman Professional equipment. Reports software bugs and hardware problems back to Engineering through approved channels and tools. Works with other Harman colleagues around the world to provide best in class support on a global scale. Meets with potential and existing clients to showcase Harman Professional solutions and products. Works with customers and sales partners to arrange training classes to meet with schedule demands; maintains flexibility to meet the needs of customers. Exercises judgment within defined practices and policies in selecting best methods and/or techniques for solving problems and obtaining solutions for the customer. Helps provide direction to internal technical support team.
What You Need
This position requires Associate Arts degree in a related field plus five plus years experience in the professional audio industry. This position also requires strong knowledge in networked audio and general audio principles. This position requires extensive knowledge of company and competitors' products. This position requires proven interpersonal and written communication skills. This position also requires strong computer skills using Microsoft Operating System and Office products. Proven ability to work in a team environment.

Ability to handle a variety of projects simultaneously. Ability to read, analyze and interpret sales and training material. Strong technical knowledge of both company and competitors' product lines. Ability to effectively develop and present information to sales partners.

Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission.
Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need. While the above range is a reasonable estimate of the wage range for this position, please note the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.
