Objective:

The Unarmed Security Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day security at client facilities in Las Cruces, New Mexico and Mesa, Arizona and additional areas as requested on an as-needed basis. The Unarmed Security Officer will serve as a primary contact point/interface with internal and external clients requiring security support and guidance. The Unarmed Security Officer will ensure adherence to Post Orders and other directives provided by the client and will be required to report any violations of security policy or procedure.

Essential Functions:
Read and understand the English language to effectively carry out applied printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials. Have a command of both the written and spoken English language to properly communicate in person or via electronic devices (telephone and radio) with co-workers and the general public. The ability to maintain a professional, tactful and courteous demeanor under stressful situations security personnel routinely encounter. Be able to compose precise short paragraphs, written reports, and other reports in the English language as necessary.

Job Duties:


The Unarmed Security Officer will be responsible for conducting static and roving foot patrol operations, scheduled and unscheduled security assessments to promote awareness of threats, risks and vulnerabilities to the company, its facilities, assets and personnel. This includes the provision of security services focusing on:
  • Protecting people, buildings, and land. Patrol property on foot and secure doors, windows, and exits and identify and report security and safety issues.
  • Enforce rules and regulations on the property in accordance with approved Post Orders. Educate staff on proper security procedures and threat/risk awareness to promote a culture of security compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Deter criminal activity and prevent theft. Investigate accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities and report findings to the Operations Desk.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and video feeds for unusual activity. Monitor parking areas, loading docks, and areas of vulnerability.
  • Control access points, permitting or refusing entry, and deterring trespassers. Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic during peak special events.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies and may be required to liaise with first responders.
  • Perform routine inspections of specific areas and report any issues or concerns.
  • Complete daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage, and documentation of any communication or actions taken.
Candidate Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be 21 years of age
Must be a High school/GED graduate
Must have 2+ years of related experience (Specialized Security, Law Enforcement, Military or similar) with 2+ years of customer/client engagement experience

The applicant must be able to pass an NLIC / State / Local Background check and Credit check (as applicable)
