Restorative Clinical Sciences

Job Description

Position Overview: This role will support the operations and curriculum of the Department of Restorative Clinical Sciences. This role involves oversight and support in digital technologies, implants, and innovations. The role will work closely with the Department Chair, faculty, and students to integrate emerging technologies and maintain current systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Oversee departmental dental operations focused on digital technologies, implants, and innovations.
  • Technology Integration: Assess and integrate new software and technologies into current programs.
  • Industry Relations: Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers to enhance the department's visibility and resources.
  • Maintenance and Updates: Ensure regular maintenance, warranty inspections, and updates of instruments and software.
  • Support and Liaison: Act as a liaison between the department and industry partners to promote the department's mission.
  • Staff Supervision: Manage a team of staff and teaching assistants to support clinical sessions and student needs.
  • Curriculum Support: Assist with record-keeping, instrument maintenance, and acquisition of new technologies to support the curriculum.
  • Student Support: Provide support to students in the clinic, especially during the use of digital technologies and specialized treatments.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related/relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

* At least 5 years of supervisory experience with a positive track record.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

* Strong organizational and troubleshooting abilities.

* Proficiency in technology and digital tools (Outlook, Canvas, Microsoft Office, etc.).

* Ability to maintain electronic student file systems and create digital presentations.

Preferred Attributes:

* Proven ability to work independently and make decisions.

* Experience working with students and in a clinical setting.

* Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and calm demeanor.

* Willingness to take on new responsibilities as needed.

Technology Skills:

* Well-versed in technology, strong computer skills and aptitude to learn new technologies including digital technologies

* Highly proficient with Outlook, Canvas, Microsoft office, etc.

* Ability to organize and maintain electronic student file systems, creating digital presentation, etc

Anticipated Hiring Range

$68,000 - $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.
