General Information: The Counseling Center (CC) at James Madison University (JMU) is accepting applications for one 11-month continuing position for a staff psychologist.

Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities as a staff psychologist include provision of intake, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, supervision and training, clinical consultation, and outreach services. Qualifications: Minimum Required Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must be licensed or license eligible as a licensed clinical psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preference for candidate to be licensed within the Commonwealth of Virginia within one year.
- Previous training and/or experience in a college mental health setting.
- Well-developed counseling, crisis, and clinical supervision skills.
- A self-motivated, self-directed commitment to high professional ideals.
- Demonstrated skill in working well under pressure to prioritize and manage multiple complex clinical situations.
- A collaborative spirit of warmth, acceptance, respect and trust towards colleagues.
- The energy to flexibly manage the professional demands of the role while maintaining positive and healthy perspectives and relationships.
- Interest and/or experience collaborating with other departments on multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
